ABOUT

The Ethene Studio

A Collaborative studio that makes cool stuff with cool people.

Founded in 2024, The Ethene Studio is an audio production company specializing in dynamic storytelling through immersive world-building. Built on a mission to be the ethylene gas of audio dramas (you know, the chemical that causes the reaction that occurs when bananas help ripen other fruits placed next to them), the Ethene Studio strives to help artists across disciplines grow in their creative endeavors through the collaborative process of audio drama creation.

Towers Anthology is a bold, genre-hopping audio adventure that dives into worlds both strange and unforgettable. From underwater societies to mystical dreamscapes to intergalactic chaos and absurdly tangled podcasts, each story blends humor, heart, and high-stakes curiosity.

The Team

Asante Mango

Creator/Writer

*they/them

Asante Mango is a writer and voice actor who talks about being from Minnesota way too much. They began Towers Anthology as an excuse to make something with their friends, and it naturally (with great community effort) snowballed from there.

Asante’s multi-hyphenate artistry encompasses the aforementioned writing and voice artistry, also includes improv and music. Their background as a Dad’s Garage Theatre Conservatory Program alum and previous main stage cast member at Whole World Improv Theatre has heavily influenced their approach to both writing and performance. They have voiced roles for clients like Ruff Ruff Danger Dogs, Hot Wheels, and Digimon, among others.

When not at a keyboard or behind the mic, Asante is probably doodling or staring blankly out of a window. Seriously, it’s good to do that sometimes.

Bennett Abara

Voice Director (Fret & REM)

*she/her

Bennett Abara is a voice actor veteran with 15 years behind the mic. Now, she is stepping into a new role as director, collaborating across new projects, including Towers Anthology. Some of her notable credits include voiceover roles in the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Sailor Moon, Kid Cosmic, Danganronpa, the Mighty Nein, Pretty Please I Don’t Wanna Be a Magical Girl, and you may also see her pop up on your TV screen for a second randomly as a waiter or murder victim in those shows your mom watches while scrolling her phone before bed.

When she’s not acting, she spends her time collecting, then dropping new and exciting hobbies, teaching voice-over classes, and doing one-on-one coaching. Currently, Bennet is writing her Creole horror anthology series, St. Cauchemar, whose first episode is live on YouTube and will soon be available on a podcast streaming platform near you. Find out about any upcoming projects or classes at bennettabara.com and on social media @bennettabara.

Jessenia Cuesta

*she/her

Jessenia Cuesta is a Puerto Rican writer and performer based in Queens, NY. With a background in theater, circus arts, and other performance-based disciplines, she melds different techniques to create unique pieces that explore the depth and variety of experience within the Latinx community. By working in both English and Spanish, she seeks to create a bridge between those in the Caribbean and the diaspora and hopes to inspire conversations about identity, culture, family, and purpose.

Bianca Negrón

Web Designer

*she/they

Professor Ethene

Executive Producer

*he/him

Eight PhDs and decades upon weeks in the lab researching science (all science) have given Professor Ethene the expertise needed to do whatever it is a producer does.

Ethene started the Ethene Studio with a simple hypothesis: “We can probably find people to make stuff with.” And then he made it less simple by adding things like “P.S: I like towers, put those in there,” and “P.S.S: What if it just got weirder as it went? See if we can get people to agree to that.”

When Ethene isn’t drinking green fluids out of a beaker or winning awards, he spends his time breeding cacti.

Judith Rios

Brand Designer

*she/her

Judith Rios is an Atlanta-based designer who enjoys bringing brands to life through strategic thinking and empathetic design. She works across branding, digital design, and marketing to create visual stories that connect with people. When she’s not designing, you can catch her in one of ATL’s many coffee shops, strolling in a park, or watching K-dramas.
